UPDATE: I am currently playing in the WPT North American Poker Championships in Niagra Falls, Ontario. I finished Day 1b 4th in chips, and start Day 2 in 16th place (because there were a lot of huge stacks that finished in Day 1a) and we'll see how today goes.

UPDATE 1pm, Oct 27th: Brad just doubled through another player, and is now sitting in 6th place with 192,000 chips. Here is the hand:

On a flop of Qh8h6d Seat 5 bet 20k and Brad Booth pushed in for 91k. Seat 5 called and the players showed:

The turn and river came Js9s and Booth took down the pot with a straight to double up.

Hi there! Welcome to my web log where I hope to share:

• some insight as to the life of a professional poker player
• my current whereabouts

So, to start on this endevour let me tell you that I'm currently on hiatus from Las Vegas and living in downtown Vancouver where I'm playing online at Full Tilt Poker under the name LFISGD. You can usually find me in the $1000/$2000 limit Hold'em or Omaha games or $200/$400 NLHE.

This month, I'll return to Las Vegas to play at the Bellagio's Fiesta al Lago tournament and the daily cash games. I'll also be playing in season 3 of High Stakes Poker.

Canadian Poker Player magazine is having me on the cover of November or December's issue, and will include the start of a series of articles about how I started my poker career and some of the amazing people and places I've been exposed to as a result.

In November, I will be playing in the BC Poker Championships held at the River Rock Casino here in Vancouver. It looks like I will be featured on the promotional poster along with two VERY well known poker pro's who are coming up from Vegas to play in the event as well. As soon as I have further confirmation, I'll let you know who they are.
